Each graduation season, the W. P. Carey School of Business recognizes one outstanding graduate from each degree program as a Dean's Medalist — an honor reserved for students who truly exemplify excellence.

"W. P. Carey is the largest business school in the country. We are top-ranked in more than 25 programs and disciplines. You are here because you are the best of the best," said Amy Ostrom, vice dean, interim chair of the Department of Marketing, and PetSmart Chair in Services Leadership, who moderated the luncheon honoring the medalists. "Each of you has stood out as a remarkable student and member of the W. P. Carey community."

Ohad Kadan, Charles J. Robel Dean and W. P. Carey Distinguished Chair in Business, also shared inspiring remarks, highlighting the significance of the students' accomplishments and the momentum they'll carry forward. "You can get anywhere. You can be anyone. And I'm saying it particularly to you because I've seen your success," he said, "And when you do that, I have only one request: Remember where you're coming from. Be our ambassadors and represent us. We are proud of you — congratulations once again."

"Being recognized as the Dean's Medalist for my program is a huge honor," said Tyler Symmes (MBA '25), the recipient of the Online MBA medal. "Completing my MBA at W. P. Carey over the past two years has been a transformative experience, and has given me so many tools for success in my career. To be honored in this way, in a program full of distinguished, accomplished professionals, is an incredible compliment, and I'm very grateful!"

Molly Chrisman (BS Marketing Professional Sales '25), recipient of the Bachelor of Science in marketing with a concentration in professional sales medal, said, "Being selected as a Dean's Medalist is incredibly meaningful as it allows me to represent the marketing professional sales program and the fall 2025 graduating class. I'm grateful for the experiences, mentorship, and growth I've gained over my past three and a half years at the W. P. Carey School of Business, which I will take with me into my career."

The Dean's Medalists received medallions to wear at convocation, a certificate acknowledging their recognition, and professional photos with the dean.
