It’s no secret that W. P. Carey is a formidable research institution. Professors here are known for publishing research that impacts the way the business world operates. Now W. P. Carey ranks No. 1 worldwide for research. According to a new ranking by the journal Technovation, business schools around the world were compared by looking at the number of articles published in the top 45 academic business journals. The W. P. Carey School placed first among all the b-schools around the globe.
In addition to the school's outstanding performance overall, Craig Carter and Kevin Dooley, supply chain management professors, and Anne Tsui, management professor, rank among the world's 20 most prolific research authors. Congratulations to the W. P. Carey faculty and all their amazing work!
You might think that's a little behind-the-scenes: How can my professor's research really help me? Well, in addition to giving you more real-world information in classes and projects, better research can mean a better salary for you once you graduate. Strategy + Business cites a study that indicates “MBA students who go to schools where the research level is high get paid more than peers who went to other schools — as much as 21 percent more after three years in the real world.” Even more reason to be proud of our great faculty here at the W. P. Carey School.
