'You're never gonna get to your full potential': Pay gap between US men and women persists

There are arguments and evidence that part of the issue is people don't necessarily know what the appropriate pay range is, so they don't know how to negotiate. A separate question is the reaction women get when they do negotiate — there's research showing there's backlash to that.
